Here’s What We Saw at the iBUYPOWER Booth at CES This Year

Year to year, CES gives us a peek into the current state of PC hardware and technology. We’d heard that iBUYPOWER had some exciting announcements coming down the pipeline, so we decided to pay them a visit on the showroom floor. Here’s what they showed us:

Revolt 3

If you’re an aspiring esports pro who wants a machine that doesn’t compromise power for flexibility, you’re going to want to take a look at the iBUYPOWER® Revolt 3. The iBUYPOWER® Revolt line promises a small form factor while still packing a powerful punch. This is a system for people who like gaming with a professional-grade rig that they could even take on the go.

Perhaps the most impressive part of this announcement was the fact that the Revolt 3 supports two PCIE devices. PCI express bifurcation and a custom riser allow the machine to support two graphics cards or a combination of a graphics card and an expansion card. This is a serious boon to gamers who want to push their PC’s performance over the edge and play at professional competitive standards.

Additionally, if you’re worried about thermal management, the Revolt 3 contains a large 200mm intake fan that passes air from one end of the system to the other. The open layout of the machine allows every component to get the cooling it needs, and the fan is so silent you won’t even notice that it’s spinning.

As with the other Revolt systems, iBUYPOWER wanted the Revolt 3 to showcase its most visually stunning components front and center. It sports dual tempered glass windows on either side to ensure that every component gets its time in the spotlight.

Lastly, the Revolt 3 is all about flexibility. Unlike its predecessors, for instance, the Revolt 3’s chassis can extend up to 40mm to fit bulkier graphics cards or radiators. It also boasts the Revolt 2’s swappable SSD slot, which is especially convenient for esports pros who need to bounce from PC to PC during a tournament.

It’s a beautiful machine that expands on the principles of the Revolt line while providing even more power, adjustability, and style than its predecessors.

Snowblind S

The iBUYPOWER® Snowblind is back with Snowblind S. Forget RGB lighting — the fully customizable, transparent LCD side panel on this PC is the pushing the limits of what on-chassis displays can be.

Snowblind S iterates upon the original by adding a “hot plug” feature that allows the user to detach and re-attach the LCD side panel with ease, all without having to adjust its electrical connection. There’s even a special latch that allows for much easier removal and replacement.

This new feature is a huge improvement. On the original Snowblind, removing the side panel to maintain or modify your PC was a hassle as the screen needed to be tethered to the machine. Now, getting into the interior of the system is as easy as unlatching the panel, and signal returns as soon as you reattach it.

The Snowblind S also features a new ARC 504 chassis, which cuts back on the material and encloses everything in a much more economical case while still remaining just as durable as the original Snowblind’s chassis. It’s all in all a visually awe-inspiring machine, made all the more impressive by the ability to customize its LCD display however you see fit.

Case Builder Snowblind

Along with the Snowblind S reveal, iBUYPOWER also announced that the Snowblind side panel is coming to their modular Case Builder chassis. This means that, while customizing your order online, you can simply choose the Snowblind panel as an upgrade. If you already have a Case Builder chassis, you can purchase the Snowblind panel as a standalone accessory. Luckily, the panel uses the same “hot plug” connection as the Snowblind S, so detaching and reattaching it should be easy.
