How can a team be adequately honored for their persistent, dominating skill in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? Sure, winning a single tournament might demonstrate their prowess in the game. But how do you recognize a team for consistently performing above the bar?

Intel hopes to answer that question with the Intel Grand Slam, a prize that totals $1,000,000. To qualify, a team must win four out of ten consecutive premier ESL and Dreamhack CS:GO events. Essentially, this means that once a team secures their first win, they have nine consecutive chances to garner three more wins and take home the Intel Grand Slam. It’s a considerable feat that certainly warrants the staggering amount of prize money at stake.

Astralis took home the first Intel Grand Slam, as well as the first win of the current season at IEM Katowice. In this video, we follow Team Liquid as they place first at IEM Sydney and step up to challenge Astralis for a shot at the grand prize.
