One day, the Overwatch League will take over the world — or at least it’ll be the first professional esports league to have geolocated franchises based in many of the world’s major metropolises. But until they make the big move to station teams in their respective cities, all of the league’s teams have been living in houses together near Los Angeles, California.
Even still, Overwatch League teams can bring together players from many different countries. Philadelphia Fusion, who made it to the Grand Finals at the end of OWL’s last season, is one of the league’s most multicultural teams, representing a whopping eight countries alone.
In this video, Intel sits down with the Fusion’s players at their home in Burbank, California to chat cultural differences, including overcoming language barriers to communicate as a team and going out for Korean BBQ together.
